Finding A Purpose

Taking this picture should be a click and go, and I spent more than 45 minutes to actually capture what I want …

The road was busy if not for the traffic light before this section so, the road was only empty of cars at interval.

The oval standing sculpture was a draw, it attracted many passersby to take picture with it.

Waiting for a meaningful subject

In this view, I'd snap a few images of passersby like jogger, cyclist, tourist couples, a family with a stroller... but didn't quite capture something that would stir my emotion. I am racing against the darkening sky, it fell faster when I'm biding for time.

Then this gentlemen came in from the left walking along the pavement slowly, looking like he was waiting to cross the road or maybe waiting for a cab. I framed him nicely and started snapping as he took his time to stroll to the right.

Among the many shots, this shot says a lot, no cars, no people around the sculpture, this guy just own the street.

The Title

Something seized my attention when passing by this view set in this bustling area call Suntec City in Singapore. A sculpture, a man and an empty road, I can't describe my feelings but was just taken with it, I gave this photograph a title that came to mind spontaneously,

"Finding a purpose"..
